On one hand, Expedia is an online travel company. On the other, we’re a partner in countless stories; honeymoons, million-dollar business deals, a child’s first trip to the beach…we make these things happen. We love travel and we want to make it easier for everyone to share our passion. Travel lets us find beauty in the unexpected places of the world, in crowded marketplaces or in the eerie morning fog of the countryside. Share the joy of travel with the world and you’ll find that the greatest voyage of your career might be with us. We’re looking for people who are just as enthusiastic as we are when it comes to travel. People who get giddy while planning a trip. People who have lists of places they want visit. And people who can’t stand making lists. We want people who recognize that technology is how we’re going to make travel simpler and more accessible. People who understand that travel isn’t about Point A and Point B. It’s about everything in between. Similarly, this company isn’t just about the end result. We need to be happy, stimulated and fulfilled. If that’s what you want too, we would love to hear from you.

""Having spent two nights there over the Thanksgiving weekend, it was a marvelous experience. The rooms was nice, clean, beds very comfortable, and the service/valet could not have been nicer. In the evenings, the Hedley Room is a great venue for some well-poured libations and four nights a week they feature live Jazz trios. Many great restaurants in the area, the San Pedro market is quaint and offers many choices. Downtown parking available behind the hotel for $10/day. Well worth a visit if you're in Silicon Valley.""
""This is a beautiful hotel from the 1930s that has been stylishly refurbished. It is a great location for attending programs at SAP. You can walk to dinner, go to the SAP event and stroll back. They have great package deals too, so check their web site. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend and plan to stay there again.""
In 2017, Airbnb was accused by travel blogger Asher Fergusson of failing to close dangerous loopholes allowing for scams by hosts. In many countries including the United States, France, Canada and the United Kingdom, Airbnb doesn't require hosts to provide any form of identification. A host who has been "permanently banned" can set up a new account under a different name and email address. Addresses are not verified so "bad" hosts can list lodging at any address, even if they don't control the property.
On July 20, 2011, American announced an order for 460 narrowbody jets including 260 Airbus A320s. The order broke Boeing's monopoly with the airline and forced Boeing into the re-engined 737 MAX. As this sale included a Most-Favoured-Customer Clause, the European airframer has to refund any difference to American if it sells to another airline at a lower price, so Airbus can't give a competitive price to competitor United Airlines, leaving it to a Boeing-skewed fleet.
